BAF INTERNATIONAL

The British Academy of Fencing was one of the founder members of the Académie d'Armes Internationale (AAI) and wholeheartedly supports its original aims of promoting the coaching of fencing throughout the world.  In association with the AAI, we seek to assist coaches of all nationalities in achieving AAI certification and fostering international goodwill and cooperation among coaches.

Twice a year we run one of the most successful English speaking coaching courses in the world. Our coach educators are experienced in helping coaches from different nationalities to achieve their goals. This course offers the chance to gain AAI certification at Moniteur, Prevot and Maître levels.  We also offer BAF certificates at Level One and Level Two, which are initial awards for beginner coaches.

Our system is clear and easy to understand and we offer a wide range of documentation, including a complete guide to all terminology used on our courses.

We have trained and qualified coaches at all levels from Holland, Sweden, Japan, Mexico, the USA, New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong: China, Israel, and Libya.

Under special circumstances, we are able to arrange examinations for coaches throughout the year, please see the link for further information.

Teams of masters are also available to run coaching courses throughout the world, upon request.
