COACH WANTED West Dorset Fencing Club The Sir John Colfox School Bridport, Dorset The club meets on Thursdays during term time from 6pm to 9pm. (36 weeks of the year) and has been in existence for 3 years, coached by Shirley Parker. (Level 3 foil.) We are at the stage of wanting to start competing, and also learning epee and sabre, and are looking to engage someone with enthusiasm who can take the club forward. COACH WANTED Hitchin Juniors Fencing Club Hitchin,Hertfordshire Monday evenings 6:30 - 8pm Hitchin Juniors is predominately a foil club for ages 11 - 18. However, there are some Sabre and Epee fencers in the club. The club will be changing management at Easter, and will require another coach to run class lessons on a monday night. The coach must have an in date enhanced CRB check, and be willing to have a new check if they are successful. They must be a qualified and insured foil coach. If they have qualified in other weapons, this experience would be a bonus. First Aid training also desirable. Payment would be based on the British Academy of Fencing recommended rates of pay, and will be subject to experience. FENCING COACH POSITION IN SINGAPORE Fencing Singapore's mission is to encourage, promote, develop and nuture fencing and fencers of all levels in Singapore. We would llike to invite suitable candidates for the following vacancy: FENCING COACH (FOIL) THE JOB Reporting to the Technical Director, the Fencing Coach(Foil) has to perform the following duties: To provide training for fencing squads; To design, plan and coordinate training and competitive programs; To assist with the administration and coordination of logistics, accounting, coaching and team resources related to the training of fencing squads, local and overseas; To contribute to the coach education and development programmes for more and better local coaches; To administer all matters relating to fencing squads; To work with the Athlete Services, Sports Science, Sports Medicine, and Strength & Conditioning Departments to enhance elite training outcomes; and To provide technical information to in-house and general media publications as requested. THE REQUIREMENTS Holder of a recognized coaching qualification equivalent to Level 3 Coaching Certificate or its equivalent; Holder of University Degree in sports-related fields, or its equivalent; At least 5 years coaching and competition experience and proven record of achievement in fencing at national level or its equivalent; Substantial experience in administration, documentary of competitions, designing training and competition plan in fencing; Sound knowledge of fencing technique and strategy Able to travel frequently with fencing squads for training and competition overseas Excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills; and Good command of both spoken and written English.
